Valimoinstituutti in brief
Valimoinstituutti (i.e. The Foundry Institute) is a Finnish nationwide unit for education, research, product development and services in the foundry industry in Finland. It was founded in 1995. Valimoinstituutti is maintained by the city of Tampere, Tampere University of Technology, Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Tampere College, Aalto University's School of Science and Technology and the Association of Finnish Foundry Product Industries.
Main tasks of Valimoinstituutti
- organize custom-made training programmes and further education courses
- maintain and advance the research potential of foundry technology and execute nationwide research proposals
- partake in international research proposals
- provide research, product development and other foundry technology services for companies and other clients
